In 2017, as part of the implementation of the priority project "Modern Digital Educational Environment in the Russian Federation", the Volga Regional Competence Center in the field of online learning was created on the basis of Volgatech. There are ten such centers in Russia. They are coordinators for the introduction of high-quality online courses that are competitive at the global level in Russian education.
